A Men’s Recovery Home Enriched with American History

Welcome to Walton Recovery House for Men
Walton Recovery House for Men is located in the historic Octagon House, a building listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This house has a real history as part of the Underground Railroad, once serving as a safe place for runaway slaves. Today, it stands as a recovery home that provides men with the structure, accountability, and support they need to rebuild their lives.

A Place Built on Accountability and Brotherhood
We are a nonprofit, transitional recovery home for men working to overcome drug and alcohol addiction. Our foundation is built on the twelve steps and the values of honesty, cleanliness, service, and responsibility. Every man here is expected to pull his weight, show respect, and contribute to the house, creating an environment where recovery is not just personal, but shared.

Clear Expectations and Structured Stays
Walton Recovery House requires a minimum stay of three months, with a maximum stay of one year. This structure ensures that every resident has the time needed to focus on recovery while also preparing for independence. The program isn’t about rushing anyone out—it’s about giving men the tools and accountability needed to succeed once they leave.

Carrying History Into the Future
Staying at Walton Recovery House means being part of something larger than yourself. The Octagon House has stood as a place of refuge and resilience for generations. Now, that same legacy continues as men use this space to fight for their freedom from addiction. Here, history and recovery come together to give every resident the chance to build a stronger future.
